🌿Warrior 1 - Virabhadrasana 1
A grounding posture that brings strength, focus and balance to the body and mind. A great one to begin the week with, start as you mean to go on, strong, powerful and finding your inner warrior!
Standing at the top of the mat, take a large step back with the right foot, allow the right foot to point towards the front right corner of the mat, or just so the hips can remain parallel to the front edge of the mat. Ground the right foot down and deeply bend into the left knee, the left thigh is parallel to the floor! Explore opening the heart here, hug the lower ribs in, tuck the tailbone and draw the belly in. On an inhale reach the arms high to the sky, I live exploring side bends here too, play around and within the strength, find calm, a soft breath and enjoy the posture. 20 breaths.
