🌿Revolved Side Angle - Parivrtta Parsvakonasana


Starting in a standing pose, step back as far as you can with the right foot. Let’s move into this posture as a high lunge, the hip bones face towards the front edge of the mat and slowly start sinking into the left knee. As you inhale reach the arms high and exhale to guide the hands to the heart, ground the feet down, lower ribs hug in and engage the core. On another exhalation slowly start twisting the upper body to the left hand side of the room, then drape the upper body forwards to you can rest your right elbow to the outer left thigh (if this is to deep or restricted at this moment in time rest the right forearm on the left thigh). If the elbow is hooked to the outer thigh let the forearms stack like a column, left elbow high and press the left hand onto the right, this will guide the hands back to the heart centre and open the chest and shoulders! Let’s take 10-15 breaths, either looking down or up for a little more challenge, well done!


Strengthens and stretches the legs, knees and ankles. Encourages balance and focus. Stretches the groin, spine, waist, chest and shoulders
