🌿Lizard Pose - Utthan Pristhasana


🌿From downward facing dog, inhale to reach the right leg high, exhale to bring it forwards between the hands! Sink the left knee down and find your low lunge posture. Gently walk your right foot to the right hand side of the mat, heel on the mat and toes off, this allows external rotation through the leg and hip. Take time to sink deeper into the pose, being mindful of lengthening the belly and waist. This pose works deep into the hips and groin, stretching through the thighs, you’re welcome to bring the back knee down. Take time to soften and if the body allows you can come down onto the forearms, you can also use support under the pelvis, a bolster is always great! Blocks under the hands, forearms and head. 1-2 minute how each side! Breathe deep and release.


Opens the hips, groin, thighs and hamstrings. Strengthens the legs, feet and core.
