~ Full moon in Cancer~ 6th January 2023~ Who felt her call? The wolf moon has risen to brighten the dark January sky. The farmers Almanac explains that this first full moon of the year is known as the wolf moon, because it is the most likely time you may hear them howl.
At 11.07pm GMT Lunar rose up and illuminated the celestial space at 16° Cancer. Whilst Sol our sun, in her opposition shone at 16° Capricornia conjunct Mercuria in her current backwards spiral.
Cancer is the celestial Crab mother and Lunar returns home in this sign. She is the nurturing force of the Zodiac and brings us back to family, home, security and self care. What outward pressures maybe preventing you from coming home right now? What can you see highlighted by Lunar's rays? What can you release to enable you to come home to yourself? Capricornia is the ancient wise one and speaks to us of Karmic lessons. Perhaps something needs to be learned now and detachment is the way forward? Are you holding onto the past? Mercuria in her retrograde cycle conjunct Sol offers you this time to reflect on what feels true for you. You can use this lunar phase to refine your plans and make more grounded choices.
Don't push too hard. Yes it is the beginning of a new calendar year, but we are being guided to take time. Allow yourself space to sit with your own heart and feel everything. As a water sign, Cancer reaches into the depths of emotion and asks you to become aware of your feelings rather than dismissing them.
