DAY 19 - Tabletop Twist #wildlove30days

Day 19 of the #wildlove30days yoga challenge!

Table top twist is a lovely posture to soothe the mind and relax tension held across the upper back and within the shoulders, this can be explored as a moving sequence or just embraced as a restful pose for a few minutes.

Tabletop Twist - Threading the needle.

  1. Starting in a table top position guide the shoulders over the wrists and the knees beneath the hips.

  2. Press the floor away and open the chest, as you inhale reach the right arm out to the right and up towards the ceiling.

  3. On an exhalation guide the right arm down, through and thread it under the left arm. As you thread you bend the left elbow to guide the right shoulder, outer upper arm and right ear to the floor.

  4. If you would like to support the head with a block or pillow here you can!

  5. Allow the pelvis to rest and 'float' over the bones of the upper legs. Rest the belly, soften the upper body and breathe.

  6. You can settle here for as long as feels comfortable, 5 breaths to 15!

  7. Close the eyes and enjoy a passive twist and inversion all at once.

  8. Upon releasing the twist, take an inhale to expand and release.

Enjoy three variations to suit your needs, table top, childs pose or even lying on your belly.

+ Aids in calming the mind.

+ Stretches the upper back + shoulders.

+ Relaxes the belly and internal organs.

+ Twists the spine.

✨ Take a photo of your posture and share it on Facebook/Instagram with the tag @wildlove_yoga #wildlove30days

Have fun and enjoy!

After a long day at the desk, my shoulders always feel tight from typing and stress. A few weeks ago I started adding simple twists like tabletop pose to my evening wind-down, and it made a real difference in releasing that built-up tension. The gentle stretch helps me breathe easier and clear my head before bed. On quieter nights I even open 888starz apk for a quick relaxing game while my body settles. Small movements like this keep me balanced without needing anything complicated. It's nice finding practices that fit naturally into daily life and leave you feeling refreshed.
