Homemade Muesli

What better way to start the week with a batch of home made muesli! Its a simple and quick recipe that can last the week, this is often Gus's go to if I haven't made a batch of Granola!

If you enjoyed my porridge recipe, this muesli one is nice to mix it up, super quick as once you have made your batch all you need to add is milk and a drizzle of agave!

INGREDIENTS

x3 cups organic porridge oats (we use Flahavans)

x1 3rd cup pumpkin seeds

x1 3rd cup pecan nuts

x1 3rd cup almonds

x15 dates (chopped!)

x1 tsp cinnamon

x3 tbsp chia seeds

x2 4th cup raisins

RECIPE

  1. Super simple! Add the oats to a clean bowl.

  2. We want to blend the pumpkin seeds, pecan nuts and almonds in a food processor to create a nice meal texture. The pecans contain quite a bit of oil so don't worry if it comes out a little 'doughy'. If you have a good food processor you can add some of the dates!

  1. Add the blended seed and nut mix to the oats and stir through.

  2. Chop the dates into slices (or your preferred size!) and add to the mix, if you love sweet muesli you can always add more.

  3. Add the raisins & chia seeds. Stir everything thoroughly.

  4. Adding the cinnamon and stir through. Distribute to a clean large jar and roll and shake the jar to mix a little more!

  5. There you have it, super quick, simple and delicious homemade muesli.

  6. Upon eating serve with chopped banana and a lovely drizzle of maple syrup or agave nectar. Absolutely amazing!

I hope you enjoy this is the morning, even as a healthy bedtime snack!

Have a great day,

V x
