JANUARY
Happy New Year Wildling!
Here you'll find upcoming news, inspiration to help deepen your self care practice and inspire your personal well-being journey. It's lovely to have you here, thank you for being a part of the Wildlove Family.
THIS MONTH'S THEME
January marks a pivotal transition. While we remain anchored in the quiet cycle of winter, we are also witnessing the returning of the light. This month, our yoga practice serves as a bridge: we honor the body's need for restorative rest while beginning to plant the seeds of intention and manifestation for the year ahead. In the cold of mid-winter, our bodies naturally "draw in." We often find ourselves hunching against the chill or slumping during long evenings at home. This physical retraction can lead to a closed posture and a stagnant mindset. To find balance, we must acknowledge this need for hibernation without letting our physical and energetic systems become dormant. Our focus on through January still honours the heart space that we connected to in December, back strengtheners and heart openers are designed to physically and energetically prepare us for the arrival of spring.
Opening the Heart Chakra (Anahata)
By consciously opening the heart center, we shift from a state of winter contraction to one of receptivity. This space is where we hold our intentions for the New Year. When the chest is open, we create the energetic room for manifestation to take root, ensuring our goals are lead by intuition rather than habit.
Physical Resilience
Strengthening the back body provides the structural support needed to "stand tall" in our resolutions. It improves lung capacity, aiding immunity during the colder months and lifts our mood and motivation.
Preparing for Spring
Just as nature prepares beneath the surface long before the first buds appear, we use these heart-led movements to prime our systems. We are clearing away the physical and mental "fog" of winter to ensure that when spring arrives, we are ready to move forward with clarity and strength.
Join me this January as we begin to find more spaciousness, softness and a lightness to grow into ourselves more authentically.
Lets come together to release and connect through yoga & supportive spirituality.
NEWS
Studio classes - As we return back to the studio classes from the 5th January I want to extend a gentle reminder about booking and capacity, the new booking system for the centre is now in place and all classes need to be booked in advance (you can book two weeks ahead). Please ensure that you book your place and do not just turn up, waiting lists are open for all classes and if a cancellation occurs all participants on the waiting list will be contacted. This is first come first served so please respect this. There is a 6 hour cancellation window in place allowing others more space to book a place if you cannot attend. If you cancel within these 6 hours or do not show up you will be charged a £4 fee.
Tuesdays classes will be updated w/c 12th January:
Classical Pilates 1.30-2.30pm & Gentle Yoga 2.30-3.30pm.
I have requested this change so I can pick Gus up from school.
Pay what you feel is an open option for future events that I will be sharing in 2026, I always want to make my offerings accessible to all and have always offered concessional and free spaces to break financial barriers. You'll find for the Sound Bath events a general admission ticket and a second option of PWYC, this is a ticket where you pay any amount that you can afford.
Self Care Sunday sessions will be shared at The Fold in Bransford from Sunday 25th January 2026. These sessions offer a seasonal mix of wellbeing modalities, with the foundation being a yoga practice, I then weave through practices and techniques to suit the season. Each month the sessions elements vary, you could explore self massage, sound healing, in depth meridian work, mantra, energetic balancing, tea ceremony and many more mindful practices. Receive supportive guidance and insight rooted in poetic philosophy for a holistic mind-body reset. The sessions are shared within the Cart House and open for all to attend, this space is just glorious, with bolsters and props freely available, an amazing cafe on site and artisan shops you really can make a day of it.
Plant Spirit & Sound Journeys will be making an appearance in next years offerings, these are very special immersive experiences with tea ceremonies and shamanic sound journeys. Together, we will wander into the subtle realms of the plant kingdom, their healing qualities, energetic signatures, ancient folklore, and the timeless wisdom they hold. Each gathering becomes a doorway into deeper relationship with the Earth and the spirit of a chosen native plant ally. For more details on our offerings next year please click here.
Thank you so much for being here! x

-NEW YEAR PAUSE-
- Sunday 11th January 11.00-1.00pm -
New Year Pause, a practice where you will be safely held and guided through a heart-centered journey focused on relaxation and renewal. Throughout the session, participants will engage in a slow, restful yoga practice. Explore movements and themes that support you in this transitional time of year with Yin yoga, myofascial release (self-massage), guided meditation, and a soothing sound bath. Her teachings emphasize inclusivity, layered guidance, and poetic insights interwoven with Eastern philosophies, providing a unique opportunity to reconnect with your heart, body, and mind.
Yin and gentle yoga are ideal for those who need to slow down, yearn for rest, and seek to create space in their bodies but may not know how. The postures are all floor-based and designed to be accessible, catering to each participant's individual needs.
Please bring a yoga mat, cushions, and blankets (the more, the better!). All sessions led by Victoria are suitable for everyone, from beginners to advanced practitioners. This is not a flow practice; rather, it involves draping your body onto cushions, getting comfortable, and allowing yourself to do what you need or want to do in that moment. No pushing, no rushing—just an opportunity to surrender.
This New Year Pause session is not just an event; it’s a chance to embrace the new beginnings that come with the new year and cultivate a deeper sense of peace within yourself. You don’t have to keep up with the fast pace of life; you can take the time to care for yourself.
Join her for this transformative journey and discover the magic of the new year through mindful practice and community connection.

BLOG
RECIPE - Chick pea & Soya Chunk Curry
This is a big ole dish that can serve a family of 4, could last longer if you added some rice to the dish and is such a good meal for Autumn & winter months. Being a curry/stew type dish if you're saving it for the day after, it tastes even better after its sat in its own juices. YUM! Feel free to add rice, home made flat breads for dipping or even add a few big chunks of sweet potato.
HIKE - Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall Walk
Pistyll Rhaeadr is one of the tallest waterfalls in Wales, located in the Berwyn Mountains. The surrounding area offers a variety of walking trails that provide stunning views and a chance to experience the natural beauty of the region. We visited on a sunny day a month back and it did not disappoint, We arrived at 12 on a Friday afternoon to find a very quiet car park (unheard of) and walked a large circular of 5 miles up the mountain to finally land back at the head of the waterfall. If you're an avid nature lover and hiker this needs to be on your visit list.
INSPIRE - What Is A Sound Bath?
Within a sound bath it works with the brain in a way that it can move into lower frequency rates, like alpha, theta and sometimes delta (if you fall asleep!). Because the body and brain are not asked to complete tasks, to interact or to soak up external information we simple rest and immerse ourselves in sound. Each instrument (specific singing bowls) have different frequencies and vibration, when these sound waves penetrate the brain it allows the body to move into a deeply restful state. When we allow the body and mind to rest it can repair, heal, process and release.

EARTH SONG & CACAO
Saturday 24th Jan 6.00-8.00pm
We are so excited to share another Earth Song event this January and have planned to bring this evening of song, mantra and connection to you bi monthly through 2026! With new music being created all the time we cannot wait to share another musical evening bringing you back home to your heart and body. Here you can enjoy receiving, hum, drum, sing, tap, dance. This is a gathering that invites self expression in any form and voice is the most beautiful tool to release and reconnect. We welcome you with open arms!

RELAXATION & SOUND
Sunday 11th January 3.30-4.45pm
This monthly session is designed to be the perfect practice to unwind after a busy week, calm the mind and soothe aches & tension within the body. This is a session with a physical yoga practice (think lazy, slow, heavy) where we combine practices of restorative yoga, somatic movement & deep guided relaxation sound bath. A combined practice like no other, all set within the indoor space with the gorgeous Wyre Forest as its backdrop. Enjoy the sounds of crystal singing bowls as you move, rest & release

FOREST SOUND BATHS
Sunday 11th Jan 5.00-6.15pm
Watch the swaying trees, hear the birds sing and be guided into the most beautiful cocoon of relaxation and rest. This is a sound bath only session where participants lie (or sit) comfortably with blankets, cushions and personal comforts for the full duration. Enjoy a seasonal guided meditation at the beginning of the practice allowing the mind to unravel any busy thoughts, and notice that the body soon follows, and with gentle permission, you can rest. Enjoy the sounds of crystal singing bowls, tibetan bowls, gong, rain stick & chimes. This is a gentle journey that helps soothe physical and emotional tension. Gently releasing the grip of stress and anxiety, these sessions will help you to find more clarity, space and quality of rest and sleep
A seated and slow practice that will help you create more space, gently.

AFFIRMATIONS
Affirmations can be powerful, the affirmations for this months love letter I want you to read out loud to yourself, whisper in your mind, write on a post it note, even save it as your morning alarm! As we recognise meditation helps us to observe the mind, we can hopefully begin to notice our mindset, anxieties, emotional recycling. Affirmations are one of the best ways to help you upload positive mental energy to your body and brain. They have the power to change your outlook on life and can increase self awareness and happiness.
So, repeat after me...

I hope this love letter inspires you this month, feel free to come back to it anytime and enjoy listening, moving and creating with intention. It's so lovely to have you within the Wildlove Community, I hope to see you very soon!
All my love, V x
