Silver Birch - Plant Spirit Sound Journeys

Two ladies Victoria Waits and Sally Smiles in green dresses smiling at each other in front of a large gong.

Last night Sally and I came together, bringing together an offering to weave our unique medicines into a single, potent immersive for the collective. It was so nice to hold space, with breathing space, silence, sound and a deep journey into the spirit of Silver Birch.

When we come together, the energy in the room shifts, its balanced, like Yin and Yang and our friendship, rooted in mutual respect and shared vision, became the container for our journey. By combining the experience of Tea, Ceremony, and Sound, we created a bridge between the human heart and the ancient wisdom of the land. It was amazing.

In the stillness of our session together, we gathered to sit with the Silver Birch. As a medicine of renewal and purification, the Birch stood as our luminous guide through the winter mist. We didn't just learn about the tree, we felt its resilience and its ancient, ancestral heartbeat.

The Medicine We Wove Together:

The Birch Tea Ceremony: We sipped the subtle, earthy essence of the Silver Birch, allowing its purifying qualities to clear the clutter of the mind and awaken the senses.

The Rhythm of the Drum: Through a guided shamanic meditation, the beat of the drum acted as a vehicle, leading us into the subtle realms to meet the Spirit of the Birch face-to-face.

The Shamanic Sound Journey: As the sounds washed over us and the beat of the drum faded we journeys to the lower and upper worlds, we surrendered to the journey, experiencing the rejuvenating power of returning home to the natural world.

Healing the Collective

As we closed our practice together we sat in circle, the "I" became "We." I loved sharing my part with the sound journey but this collective sharing circle at the end was really special. We had the invitation to share our experiences, to be held and supported and it was really touching. By deepening our individual relationships with this native plant ally, we contributed to a larger healing, a reweaving of new ways of feeling, seeing and moving through.

I hope that myself and Sally’s partnership reminds us that when we come together with intention, we don’t just heal ourselves, we begin to heal the collective. The Silver Birch taught us about resilience, the beauty of new beginnings, and the power of returning home to the natural world.

Thank you to everyone who sat in the circle with us, we hope to connect with you for our next one!
