Super Healthy Chocolate Porridge

A go to every morning in our house is porridge, we go through fazes of the different varieties I make and the last few weeks is been this super food energising chocolate porridge. Do chocolate and healthy go in the same sentence? Not usually but this little meal is packed full of super food powders that boost our energy, mental clarity, and immunity.

Ingredients -

1 cup porridge oats

2 cups water

2 tbsp cacao powder (please note that is cacao, and not cocoa!)

2 tsps maca powder

x1 banana (chopped)

half tsp of Chaga powder

Big squish of Agave nectar

Recipe -

  1. Cook the porridge with the water on a super low heat, I have a really good nack at getting the porridge to stick to the pan, a low heat is the way forwards for silky smooth porridge! Keep stirring!

  2. Add the chopped banana and stir through, it will melt into the mix.

  3. Once the porridge is cooked you can add all of your powders, stir well. The Chaga powder has a tendency to not melt and sticks together.

  4. Add the agave (to your taste) at the end, this is your sweetness!

  5. We sprinkled chia seeds, flax seeds, hazelnuts and rose petals for the final healthy kick!
