I feel very grateful to share free yoga classes for the lovely support group AURUM. Having offered an outdoor session for the group a few years ago it's been lovely to grow our connection with yoga and self care together. Sharing monthly sessions for those diagnosed with Autism has been grounding, rewarding and so special.
Yoga sessions run monthly on Tuesday evenings (based in Worcester).
Girls sessions 6.00-7.00pm SPACES AVAILABLE
Womens sessions 7.00-8.00pm FULLY BOOKED

Aurum Autism Support (Aurum) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) that provides specialist support for autistic women and girls, and their families, in the Worcestershire and Shropshire areas. Aurum provides a safe, supportive, and professionally-led space where autistic women and girls can be their authentic selves. Aurum is led by autistic women and specialist professionals. We provide social, craft, discussion, and yoga groups for autistic women, and social/activity and yoga groups for autistic girls. We also offer support groups for parents of autistic women and girls.
Aurum helps to build stronger communities, while supporting autistic women and girls to reach their potential. Aurum was founded by autistic women based on the belief that autistic females can improve their lives by supporting each other. The experiences of autistic females are largely sidelined in society. Autistic women and girls are typically diagnosed later than males, and do not receive appropriate support, as diagnosis and support services are typically based on male needs. Autistic females often feel isolated, alienated and anxious. This often results in autistic females being unable to achieve their personal, academic, or social potential. Aurum’s services are designed to give autistic women and girls the opportunity to learn from and help each other, forming a community where they feel accepted and supported. This level of acceptance and understanding can be difficult for autistic people to find within other, neurotypical, settings. Moreover, this peer support helps autistic women and girls to develop their confidence and build coping skills, helping them to reach their full potential.
Aurum’s specialist services have been developed over the past three years; and are designed to support autistic women and girls, and their families, to better understand the strengths and challenges of being an autistic female. By providing a range of support options, including in-person and online formats, and different activities (e.g. arts and craft sessions, outdoor activities, group meals), people can choose the option that best suits their needs. This individualised approach helps autistic women and girls to improve their wellbeing, build confidence, develop coping skills, sustain education or employment, and ultimately feel more connected with the wider community.
