JULY

Hello hello! My goodness, you're receiving this July newsletter a little earlier due to the fact my June newsletter never made it as it was one of the busiest months of the year! With festivals and events back to back every weekend I didn't open my laptop for three weeks, admin got paused and I was grateful to be immersed in so many special offerings and give myself permission to not play 'catch up' under any pressure. I'll be sharing more about these festivals over the month and shouting out about all the magic we can find at gatherings like these! Its taken me a few weeks to land, to ground and I finally feel like I'm finding my normal structure again, I'll be clinging onto the 'no admin' days a lot more as I take time to be within nature as I find my quiet balance of self care amongst the summers heat. Here you can find everything about July, whats upcoming, what inspires me and I hope we can connect very soon, sending you lots of love!

Intentions for July

July marks our entry into the absolute peak of summer, a lush, sensory explosion of pure heat and unbroken light. The tentative growth of spring has given way to a heavy, mature abundance, the fields are golden, the days are long and baked in warmth and the earth is alive with the vibrant, buzzing energy of mid-summer. This month, our yoga practice shifts from the effort of growing to the profound necessity of seasonal deep rest. We aren't just basking in the fiery heat of the sun, we are learning how to create a cool, internal sanctuary to balance out the intense energy of nature.

Cooling the Fire

We are now at the very height of the light half of the year. The initial push of the solstice has settled into a powerful, radiating heat that can easily overstimulate the system. In July, our practice is about intelligent cooling. We honour the abundance around us, but we are actively learning to balance the external summer heat with slow, restorative pauses. Our sequences will prioritize spaciousness, gliding movements and sequences designed to release excess heat from the body and soothe the nervous system, inviting a deep rest that replenishes our inner reserves.

Soothing the Heart Meridian

In seasonal wellness, mid-summer belongs to the Fire element and the Heart meridian. If the earlier months were about outward expression, July is about emotional spaciousness, joy, and protective boundaries. By focusing on opening the chest, shoulders, and heart space, we clear away agitation and cultivate a steady, peaceful inner quiet. Our practice invites us to cool the fiery nature of the mind, realizing that the true power of the heart lies not in constant doing, but in its ability to remain calm, soft, and anchored amidst the summer heat.

Harmonizing with the Earth's Pulse

We synchronize with this natural rhythm not by striving, but by bringing a sense of effortless surrender to our mats. Our practice becomes a moving meditation of ease, less about generating heat or forcing structure, more about a fluid, grounding dance. We mimic the resilience of the mid-summer landscape: fully bloomed, vibrant, yet resting deeply in the shade of our own awareness, unwavering in our inner peace.

Join me this July as we celebrate the magnificent richness of the season, moving with gratitude, balancing the heat, and stepping into the nurturing sanctuary of seasonal practices.

Outdoor Yoga Classes

The outdoor yoga classes at Arley Arboretum are going beautifully and are available to book throughout the summer until September. We meet every bi-weekly Friday morning (do double check dates as a few are amended due to holidays). We all meet at the cafe before the session begins and walk through to a suitable spot under the trees for our practice together.

Monthly Ashtanga Classes

I'm so excited to be bringing Ashtanga to you all again, over the years Ive shared Ashtanga yoga classes and dotted it in my weekly schedule but feel I want to give it all the love it deserves, I'll be sharing a guided Ashtanga class monthly Fridays 7.30-9.00pm and the first is on September 11th! This session is shared at the Wyre Forest Leisure Centre* in the studio. We have ample time for full guidance, layers, optional adjustments & posture breakdowns and I want to make this a session to dedicate your heart, body & mind to the discipline of Ashtanga. This is a very strong practice that is continuous flow, so not suitable for complete beginners, that being said I will layer and modify the practice to suit all abilities.

*Please take note it is NOT part of the membership, booking are seperate through my website as I am hiring the space.

Accessibility & "Pay What You Feel"

Keeping my offerings accessible is incredibly important to me, for my Sound Bath & combined Yoga & Sound bath sessions in the Wyre Forest you will find a "Pay What You Can" (PWYC) ticket option alongside general admission, if financial barriers are a concern, please use this option to pay what you feel is suitable for you.

HEART MERIDIAN ENERGY - SUMMER

Summer is the season of peak expression, abundance and expansion, we feel it in the warmth of the sun and observe it in the vibrant, full bloom of the natural world. Even though we can acknowledge the joy of stepping out into the light, modern life often demands we burn bright all the time without rest. In summer there is a collective pressure to fill our social calendars, stay active late into the evening, and constantly exude high energy. Have you ever noticed that when you try to force yourself to be "on" or hyper-productive, you feel anxious, restless, or physically overheated? This is a firm signal that your body is struggling to transition and that you're out of balance.

SELF CARE SUNDAY

Sunday 26th July - 11.00am-12.30pm

Join Victoria for an immersive experience for her Radiance workshop, where you will be safely held and guided through her heartmade session with joy and outward expansion in mind. As the meadows stand in full bloom this late-July, we focus on nourishing our inner fire, celebrating our growth and stepping confidently into our own light.

OUTDOOR YOGA

Bi-weekly Fridays 10.00-11.00am

Outdoor yoga is such a beautiful chance to weave the benefits of nature with your wellbeing practices. I share biweekly classes within the grounds of Arley Arboretum, the perfect backdrop for our yoga practice!

FOREST SOUND BATH

Sunday 26th July 6.45-8.00pm

Watch the swaying trees, hear the birds sing and be guided into the most beautiful cocoon of relaxation and rest. This is a sound bath only session where participants lie (or sit) comfortably with blankets, cushions and personal comforts for the full duration. Enjoy a seasonal guided meditation at the beginning of the practice allowing the mind to unravel any busy thoughts, and notice that the body soon follows, and with gentle permission, you can rest. Enjoy the sounds of crystal singing bowls, tibetan bowls, gong, rain stick & chimes. This is a gentle journey that helps soothe physical and emotional tension. Gently releasing the grip of stress and anxiety, these sessions will help you to find more clarity, space and quality of rest and sleep.

REIKI HEALING & SOUND BATH

Sunday 20th Sept 2026, 16:30 – 18:15

You heard it here first! Myself & Lottie from Fern & Clay will be collaborating again in September, we will be holding space in the Wyre Forest Discovery Centre and weaving reiki healing & sound bathing together. This is a deeply restorative session where you can rest, receive and completely rebalance as we begin to settle in the whispers of Autumn air.

AFFIRMATIONS

Affirmations can be powerful, the affirmations for this months love letter I want you to read out loud to yourself, whisper in your mind, write on a post it note, even save it as your morning alarm! As we recognise meditation helps us to observe the mind, we can hopefully begin to notice our mindset, anxieties, emotional recycling. Affirmations are one of the best ways to help you upload positive mental energy to your body and brain. They have the power to change your outlook on life and can increase self awareness and happiness.

So, repeat after me...

I hope this love letter inspires you this month, feel free to come back to it anytime and enjoy listening, moving and creating with intention. It's so lovely to have you within the Wildlove Community, I hope to see you very soon!

All my love, V x
