APRIL
April marks the shift from the quiet stirrings of growth to a vibrant, full-scale awakening. The earth is now giving way to carpets of green, (hello wild garlic!) and the air is thick with the scent of renewal. This month, our yoga practice mirrors this blossoming, moving from the effort of breaking through the soil to the grace of opening our petals to the sun.
Radiating
With the Spring Equinox behind us, the days are now officially longer than the nights. We are no longer emerging from hibernation, we have arrived. Our practice this April focuses on expansion and visibility. We move away from the protective, inward shapes of winter and into expansive heart-openers and expressive standing poses. It is time to take up space and radiate the energy we’ve been cultivating in the dark.
Energizing the Heart & Throat (Anahata & Vishuddha)
While March was about the fire of the Solar Plexus, April is about the expression of the heart. We are moving from the "doing" into the "sharing." By focusing on the chest and neck, we open the channels of communication and compassion. We use our practice to find the courage to speak our truth and the softness to connect deeply with the world blooming around us.
Harmonizing with the Elements
April is a month of duality, warm sunshine followed by sudden, cleansing rains. We synchronize with this "seasonal flow" by making our practice more fluid. We are sharpening our vinyasa, moving like water to stay supple and light. We are training our systems to be as resilient as the spring flowers, soft enough to bend in the wind, but strong enough to remain rooted through the showers.
Savouring the Growth
Nature is now in a state of celebration! The trees are budding and the world is painted in colour. We aren't just watching the change, we are part of it. Join me this April as we open our hearts, lighten our step and celebrate the magnificent vitality of life in full swing.

Outdoor Yoga begins!
The wonderful outdoor yoga classes return this April, with more hours of sunshine I'm excited to share these sessions with you. Ill be sharing bi-weekly yoga classes on a Friday morning at Arley Arboretum, we will meet at the cafe and walk through to a suitable spot under the trees! (Bliss!). Hopefully by May ill be sharing my yoga and socials at Bells Farm again too, so watch this space for updates. The first session is on the 17th April.
Accessibility & "Pay What You Feel"
Keeping my offerings accessible is incredibly important to me, for our Forest sessions, you will now see a "Pay What You Can" (PWYC) ticket option alongside general admission. If financial barriers are a concern, please use this option to pay what is sustainable for you.
Additional Events Cancelled
In last months newsletter I mentioned about additional events that I wanted to add to the schedule as trail runs, having noticed as the months have gone by the drop in attendance has raised concerns about offering these additional extras. So I'm leaving my schedule as it is and will offer extra sound baths outdoors in summer.
Please note I have cancelled the additional forest sound baths (which would have been on a Monday evening) if you booked you have been refunded. The couple's massage event isn't running as myself and Will move both our timetables around with his upcoming visit to Vipassana and his mens group events, don't worry, it'll defo be back for Valentines next year!
Wild Yoga & Ecstatic Dance was a hit last month and returns on Friday 8th May, honestly it was wild and I would encourage anyone to come along and give it a try. You do not need any experience and will be guided through the whole session, with playful and fluid strong yoga leading into a sober rave, you'll be smiling ear to ear into the weekend!
Plant Spirit & Sound Journeys
I am so excited to be working alongside my beautiful friend Sally Smiles for our bi-monthly Plant Spirit journeys! These immersive containers involve tea ceremonies and shamanic sound journeys, diving deep into the folklore and healing wisdom of native plant allies.
For our next session we are working with Willow, if you feel called to join us we have a few spaces remaining.

-SPRING AWAKENING -
- Sunday 26th April 11.00-12.30pm -
Join Victoria for an immersive experience for her Spring Awakening workshop, where you will be safely held and guided through her heartmade session with vitality and fresh perspectives in mind. As the earth wakes up around us, we focus on shedding the last of our winter layers, inviting in new light, and nurturing the seeds of inspiration we’ve planted. Weaving in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the wood element, you can create a bridge between the physical "spring rising" of the body and the creative "blossoming" of the spirit.
Intentions for our session together -
Yoga practice - Yin & Yang. (Expansive stretching and energising flows).
TCM insights - Liver & Gallbladder meridian lines (The Wood Element).
Mindfulness meditation - Focusing on clarity, vision, and new beginnings.
Guided relaxation - With uplifting and fresh essential oils.
These Self Care Sunday sessions are the perfect opportunity to embrace the season and cultivate a deeper sense of peace within yourself. You do not need to keep up with the fast pace of life; you can pause to take more care of yourself.
This practice is based indoors within the beautiful beamed space of the Cart House at The Fold.
With onsite organic cafe and artisan shops, nature trail and free parking, you really could create the perfect self care day.
Let's enjoy creating a self care connection together.

BLOG
SPRING - LIVER MERIDIAN LINE
Spring is the season of rebirth and new beginnings; we feel it in the lengthening of the days and observe it in the sudden burst of life in the natural world. Even though we can acknowledge the need to sprout and grow, modern life often demands we bloom before we are ready. As Spring approaches, there is a collective pressure to "spring clean" our entire lives, to jump into new routines and shed our winter coats instantly. Have you ever noticed that when you try to force a "fresh start" too quickly, you feel irritable, frustrated, or physically tight? This is a firm signal that your body is struggling to transition and that you're out of balance.
As a little foundation of TCM, the Chinese revolve their lives around 5 seasons: Summer, Late Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. These are represented by the 5 elements; fire, earth, metal, water and wood. Each element has a corresponding yin organ (vital) and a yang organ. Each element is represented by a colour, taste, sound, emotion, muscle and food.
Yoga and its wonderful philosophies allow us to return back home into ourselves. Over the past year or so I've been sharing a lot more TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practices & techniques to help gain a deeper connection to support our wellbeing, especially in Spring when your energy might feel a bit erratic or your fuse feels a little shorter than usual.

This is a sound bath only session where participants lie (or sit) comfortably with blankets, cushions and personal comforts for the full duration. Enjoy a seasonal guided meditation at the beginning of the practice allowing the mind to unravel any busy thoughts, and notice that the body soon follows, and with gentle permission, you can rest. Enjoy the sounds of crystal singing bowls, tibetan bowls, gong, rain stick & chimes. This is a gentle journey that helps soothe physical and emotional tension. Gently releasing the grip of stress and anxiety, these sessions will help you to find more clarity, space and quality of rest and sleep.

AFFIRMATIONS
Affirmations can be powerful, the affirmations for this months love letter I want you to read out loud to yourself, whisper in your mind, write on a post it note, even save it as your morning alarm! As we recognise meditation helps us to observe the mind, we can hopefully begin to notice our mindset, anxieties, emotional recycling. Affirmations are one of the best ways to help you upload positive mental energy to your body and brain. They have the power to change your outlook on life and can increase self awareness and happiness.
So, repeat after me...

I hope this love letter inspires you this month, feel free to come back to it anytime and enjoy listening, moving and creating with intention. It's so lovely to have you within the Wildlove Community, I hope to see you very soon!
All my love, V x
