March Newsletter - Emerging.


MARCH


March marks the transition from the internal depths of winter to the vibrant awakening of Spring. While the ground may still be damp, there is an unmistakable energy rising. This month, our yoga practice shifts from stoking a steady flame to cultivating the upward surge of growth, mirroring the sap rising in the trees and the first shoots breaking through the soil.

 

Emerging

As we move past the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, the body begins to shed its winter coat. The heaviness of "hibernation" starts to lift, making way for expansion. Our practice this March focuses on clearing out the physical and mental "cobwebs" of winter. We are shifting our focus to twists and lateral stretches, creating space in the side body to take deeper, fuller breaths of fresh spring air.

 

Balancing the Solar Plexus (Manipura)

While February was about holding the heart, March is about igniting our willpower. By focusing on the Solar Plexus, we transform our quiet winter intentions into outward action. We are moving from "thinking" to "doing," using our yoga practice to build the confidence and heat needed to bring our dreams into reality as the light returns.

 

Awakening the Senses

Nature is no longer quiet, it is singing!!! Birds are returning, and the glimmers of colour in nature are returning. We use our practice to synchronize with this "Quickening," sharpening our focus and refining our balance. We are training our systems to be resilient and adaptable, ready to flow with the unpredictable winds of March while staying firmly rooted in the Earth.

 

As we approach the Equinox, we honour the moment of perfect balance. We aren't rushing into summer, we are savouring the transition. Join me this March as we stir the senses, awaken the body and welcome the return of the sun with open arms and a vibrant spirit.

 

 

N E W S & U P D A T E S

 

Forest Sound Baths - New Times & Days!

To ensure everyone has ample time to integrate their experience, I’ve adjusted the schedule for our sessions at Wyre Forest (Callow Hill). We now have a 30-minute buffer between sessions for a more relaxed arrival and departure.

 

5.00–6.15 pm: Relaxation Yoga & Sound Bath

6.45–8.00 pm: Forest Sound Bath

 

New dates: Monday evenings have been added as a trail so if you feel a week day evening would suit then these might just be the ticket! For the specific dates please visit the Forest Sound Bath event, click 'see more dates' and you'll see what's available!

 

NEW EVENT - Wild Yoga & Ecstatic Dance

I'm so excited to share a new session with you, my Wild Yoga flow classes and ecstatic dance, all rolled into one uplifting sober party. These classes are high vibes, upbeat, playful and push you into your freedom of expression. I cannot wait to share these, I love dancing, letting loose and will be supporting and guiding you all the way. No experience is needed, theres no choreography, just you, your wild heart and the nudge to let go. Visit the

 

Outdoor Yoga

The wonderful outdoor yoga classes return this April, with more hours of sunshine Im excited to share these sessions with you. Ill be sharing bi-weekly yoga classes on a Friday morning at Arley Arboretum, we will meet at the cafe and walk through to a suitable spot under the trees! (Bliss!). Hopefully by May ill be sharing my yoga and socials at Bells Farm again too, so watch this space for updates!

 

Accessibility & "Pay What You Feel"

Keeping my offerings accessible is incredibly important to me, for our Forest sessions, you will now see a "Pay What You Can" (PWYC) ticket option alongside general admission. If financial barriers are a concern, please use this option to pay what is sustainable for you.

 

Self Care Sundays at The Fold

Our monthly Self Care Sunday sessions have settled into their new home at The Fold in Bransford. Set in the atmospheric Cart House, these sessions weave together yoga, self care techniques, sound healing and seasonal insights. With bolsters provided, an amazing onsite café, and artisan shops to explore, it’s the perfect setting for a full-day out.

 

Plant Spirit & Sound Journeys

I am so excited to be working alongside my beautiful friend Sally Smiles for our bi-monthly Plant Spirit journeys! These immersive containers involve tea ceremonies and shamanic sound journeys, diving deep into the folklore and healing wisdom of native plant allies.

For our next session we are working with Willow, if you feel called to join us we have a few spaces remaining.

WILD YOGA & DANCE

I’m sooooo excited to be sharing a new session with you! Quite the contrast to my relaxation sound bath sessions! Having shared a few of these sessions last year the turnout and feedback was immense, I adore sharing my wild flow classes, where we return to the depths of our hearts and personal power and with the additional extra of an upbeat, mad, sober rave playlist, this is where you can let loose! You’ll be guided and safely supported by myself throughout, finding your way to free expression. This is your chance to shake off the week, laugh, play and return to joy!

EMBRACING THE ENERGY OF MARCH


 As we step into March, can you feel the subtle shift in the air? We are standing in that sacred threshold between the deep, quiet dreaming of winter and the first, spirited breaths of spring. In the Wyre Forest, the ground is still damp and cool, but beneath the surface, there is a restless, beautiful hum. Life is waking up, and so are we.


In our classes and workshop offerings we often talk about moving with the seasons rather than against them. While February was about the heart space and self-love, March calls us toward renewal and rebirth.


The TCM Perspective: Rising Wood Energy

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, March brings us into the element of Wood. After the Water element of winter (where we focused on stillness and the Kidney meridian), Wood energy is all about upward movement, growth, and vision. It is the energy of the sprout breaking through the frozen soil.


If you’ve been feeling a little "stuck" or perhaps experiencing a flash of frustration lately, notice it without judgment. That is simply the Wood energy wanting to move! In our classes this month, we’ll be focusing on opening the flanks of the body and supporting the Liver and Gallbladder meridians. Think of expansive side-body stretches and twists that help us wring out the old and make space for the new.




EARTH SONG

Join Sally Smiles & Victoria Waits for a bi monthly musical evening in honouring, connection & ceremony.

 

Enter a deeply nourishing space of ambience & soft lighting as we sing songs of the land, Celtic chants & soundscapes in the moment, weaving vibrations, sounds & frequencies together in collective harmony. Open voices and channels through free expression within this empowering, healing & ceremonial offering and celebrate the power of music, self love, creation & togetherness in a space where no experience is necessary, just come and enjoy!





RELAXATION & SOUND

Sunday 15th March 5.00-6.15pm

This monthly session is designed to be the perfect practice to unwind after a busy week, calm the mind and soothe aches & tension within the body. This is a session with a physical yoga practice (think lazy, slow, heavy) where we combine practices of restorative yoga, somatic movement & deep guided relaxation sound bath. A combined practice like no other, all set within the indoor space with the gorgeous Wyre Forest as its backdrop. Enjoy the sounds of crystal singing bowls as you move, rest & release.

FOREST SOUND BATHS

Sunday 15th March 6.45-8.00pm

Watch the swaying trees, hear the birds sing and be guided into the most beautiful cocoon of relaxation and rest. This is a sound bath only session where participants lie (or sit) comfortably with blankets, cushions and personal comforts for the full duration. Enjoy a seasonal guided meditation at the beginning of the practice allowing the mind to unravel any busy thoughts, and notice that the body soon follows, and with gentle permission, you can rest. Enjoy the sounds of crystal singing bowls, tibetan bowls, gong, rain stick & chimes. This is a gentle journey that helps soothe physical and emotional tension. Gently releasing the grip of stress and anxiety, these sessions will help you to find more clarity, space and quality of rest and sleep.






Come and flow with me, unlock tension by exploring swaying movements, instill trust by feeling the feet becoming grounded and let's move from a place of strength and spaciousness.

AFFIRMATIONS


Affirmations can be powerful, the affirmations for this months love letter I want you to read out loud to yourself, whisper in your mind, write on a post it note, even save it as your morning alarm! As we recognise meditation helps us to observe the mind, we can hopefully begin to notice our mindset, anxieties, emotional recycling. Affirmations are one of the best ways to help you upload positive mental energy to your body and brain. They have the power to change your outlook on life and can increase self awareness and happiness. 

So, repeat after me...
