Here you will find an open opportunity to explore and learn the techniques to building a meditation practice. You will be guided by Victoria in this 2 hour workshop moving you through the process and layers to build a meditation practice that is sustainable. Learning to support the body appropriately so you can sit for periods of time, learn the difference between guided relaxation and meditation, learn three different variations of meditation, take away tools that you can implement in your day to day life. Meditation isn't about shutting yourself off from the world, it's learning to create more space, a healthy separation from distractions and to do lists, to give yourself space to think, to breathe and to life a more consciously connected life. We will also move through a slow and gentle yoga practice to release the hips and spine in order to sit comfortably.
SATURDAY 23rd OCT
6.00-8.00pm
£10 per person This is a down to earth, relaxed workshop where there will be plenty of time to ask questions and gain more clarity about meditation. Is meditation about having an empty mind? Nope! It's about observing the mind, no matter how busy it is and using tools that help you move back into the present moment. Imagine a snow globe.... are you constantly feeling shaken up and all over the place? Imagine those minutes you sit in a meditation practice, each individual flake within the snow globe begins to settle, you notice each one, its movement and detail. Thats what we are exploring in our meditation practice. To observe, each thought, letting them settle, letting some go, and noticing the ones that are loud. This is a face to face workshop (if you're interested in joining online please let me know as I may be able to open this up as an option!). This workshop is open to EVERYONE, no experience is needed. Please bring your yoga mat. Blankets, pillows, cushions. Yoga props like a bolster or blocks. A note book and pen. If you are attending the Ashtanga workshop (in the afternoon) get 50% off this session.
If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch, anytime.
