Between Christmas & New Year I'll be sharing a one off online class streamed from my home to yours. This is a session suitable for all and the perfect place to breathe and pause as we embrace the space between December & Jan. Ill be offline and not teaching in person classes from 24th Dec to the 5th Jan so this will be nice offering to stay connected while we all have a break over the winter period.
Designed to help you hibernate and find balance during the winter months, Sacred Rest is an online container created with deep relaxation in mind, a space where we can let the body destress as we feel the seasonal changes. This time of year brings a slower pace, stillness and silence within nature but we may find the pressures of modern life pushing us to keep up, stay busy and do all of the things, all at once! This online class teaches you to slow down, to be more present, to create a safe haven where you can switch off busy life and enjoy being with your body, mind & heart.
This session utilizes tools and techniques to calm a busy mind, alleviate physical aches and pains, enhance mindfulness, stretch and lengthen muscles and connective tissues, promote deep relaxation, and build the confidence to embrace rest.
Monday 29th December - 7.30-9.00pm
Upon booking you will receive a Zoom link for the session. Please ensure you have Zoom downloaded and updated on the device you wish to stream the session.
The session is streamed live* from my home to yours, find a suitable spot and lets enjoy winding down. You can practice in your pyjamas, bring the cat, use as MANY cushions as you like and even have a cup of cacao close by. This is time for yourself, no external noise, nothing to distract, no class/studio environment, just myself & you, sharing space.
For this session you will need - A yoga mat, cushions, blanket, yoga blocks or bolsters. This is a practice where you use props.
+Practices tailored to suit the season, where we do not rush, push or try to keep up. This is a time to rest and hibernate.
+Guided breathing practices to soothe and centre.
+Enjoy a practice working with the muscles, joints and connective tissues.
+Yin yoga for stillness and peace. Deep passive stretches for the whole body.
+Relax the nervous system.
+Guided relaxation for restful sleep.

*Class will be recorded for you to enjoy for the duration of the month of December. You will receive the zoom recording via email a few days after the session has taken place. Participants within the session are not recorded.
